Try this now

  • Ask your learners to note down all the different writing they’ve done in the past week. Include e-mails, texts, shopping lists and personal notes to friends or whanau, as well as forms they have filled in and longer texts such as reports they have written as part of their job or study.
  • Get them to group the pieces of writing under headings, and then regroup them under different headings.
  • Ask them to write a simple statement to summarise the writing they do.
