  • It’s useful to find out how your learners usually write – whether they prefer writing using a computer or not, if they have plenty of pens and papers and so on.
  • If learners do have access to a computer, they might like to try to begin a writing journal for a few weeks. If not, a hard copy writing journal will work just as well.
  • Now – let’s get them writing.
  • Remember: you’ve got them seeing themselves as writers. Now you want to encourage them do more writing. The end goal is for your learners to be able to consciously draw on writing skills and knowledge in order to tackle any writing task they meet.
