Remember that you’ll support writers by reducing the load for them. One way to do this is to provide different models, especially for those parts of the writing process that writers find particularly challenging.
You’ll probably want to discuss different ways of starting a piece of writing so that learners don’t suffer from ‘writer’s block’. Introduce models of ‘beginnings’ from other writers, using a range of different styles, from articles, editorials, short stories and so on.

Provide models of “endings” such as

  • In conclusion...
  • The last idea I would like to discuss...
  • I began by...Now I would like to finish by...
